Phuket/Patong

We arrived in the middle of the night at rainy Phuket. Checked out the area a bit and prepared ourselves for a rainy next day. To discribe Phuket in a few words only: it is Bangkok with a beach. We are happy that we didn't book more than 4 days.

We were on a dive-shop-tour today and found a 100 meter road with 23 dive shops and we are not going to dive with any of them. We booked some diving for tomorrow and are looking forward to finally feel the water from the ocean again instead of feeling the water from the sky.

A temple day

We spent our last day in Chiang Mai with a little bit culture. We were checking out several temples and finished our day at the from us highly recommendended Sunday Night Market which was very close to our guesthouse.

Province Chiang Mai

We were heading up to Chiang Rai. Had a few stops on the way and discovered a few sights´, like the following ...






and today we have been to the botanic gardens, but you are not going to see any pictures as it was the wrong season for it. afterwards Conny and me started to miss Kimmy (her cat) and Flisa (my father's cat), so we decided to cuddle little kitty cats ...

Chiang Mai

Yesterday was a day of travelling from Bangkok to Chiang Mai. Checked in to a very nice Guesthouse "Baan Nud Kun" (highly recommended from me). I was so crazy to rent a car for 3 days and until now we survied the first day without one scratch on our brand new car. First trip was up north with a stop at a beautiful waterfall.
We were using the GPS for a while, but gave up on it, when the directions were indicating to no roads ... our brand new car was not buildet for that ... so we were better off without it. We managed to find the Hot Springs anyway.



The water had unbelievable 42 degrees celsius ... that was cooling down a lot!

Back in Bangkok

Back again in Thailand and Bangkok. Estimated time of departure from Arlanda to Frankfurt: 19.15, estimated time of departure from Frakfurt to Bangkok: 22.45! Time of arrival in Frankfurt: 22.50! ... I still made it, my luggage didn't.

Arrived in Bangkok with 35 degrees (don't be jealous now) and cloudy (now you know why you dont't have to be jealous). Checked in into an awesome hotel and ... had a nice start of the holiday.

Checked out Bangkok today (that was hot) ... (really hot) ... and didn't really like it, but let's see how I am going to like Chiang Mai tomorrow ... Had an awesome guide/tuc-tuc driver/translater which was making life so much easier for Cornelia and me.

Six days

Six days until it's time to leave the cold Sweden and go to Bangkok.
Going to meet Cornelia in Frankfurt and then we go together to Thailand.
We was thinking to go to Vietnam but because problem with visa, we desided to stay in Thailand and rent a car and go to Chang mai in the north.
We have no ide what we are going to do the rest of the time but I'm going to hold my blog up to date.

Start to work in the divecenter around 10/11 again and it's going to be very nice to hit the water again.
Other way I don't like it at all because I also leave Cornelia for three months.

I know we fix it anyway.

Whrite maybe something more before I leave. How knows.

40 days

Now it's 40 days until it's time to jump on the flight down ro Frankfurt and then give Cornelia à big hug and fly to Bangkok.
Really looking forward to that right now. Sitting in a rainy Uppsala and waiting for my group.
Hopefully going tondo some diving this weekend so I can come back in it again.
